Craft Break: Baby Quilt

The past few weeks have been a flurry of quilts. I have a number of people in my life who either have had babies or are having them. A number of them were gifted homemade quilts.

This quilt was gifted to a family member thought the fabric was gifted to me by a coworker. I had been looking for a farm related pattern. Originally I was thinking of doing some embroidery with the design as opposed to using farm themed fabric, but these were too cute to pass up.

I’m quite pleased with how this turned out. I had to do a draft quilt prior to this to ensure this just to make sure I could get the spacing pretty consistent. After all, it has been at least five years since I had sewn a quilt. Didn’t want to make mistakes on something I was gifting!

Not too bad of a finished product, if I do say so myself. There are always going to be little details that I think I could have perfected, but I won’t hash them out here. The backing I intentionally did going a single direction. Someone on that side of the family tree just may happen to be a farmer.
